The Lesser Gray Chytolita, Stone-winged Owlet or Lesser Luteous Snout (Chytolita petrealis) is a moth of the Noctuidae family. It is found from Alberta to Nova Scotia, south to Florida and Texas.
The wingspan is 22-30 mm. Adults are on wing from May to July. There is one generation per year in the north, from Missouri and southern New Jersey southward there is at least a partial second generation.
Larvae have been reared on dead and dried white oak leaves.
